I. AM. SO. EXCITED. FOR. FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I am also completely overwhelmed and spinning in a
million different directions. Our babe
has decided that today is the day he needs to acquire a new tooth, so that’s
super fun. Trying to get anything done
with an 11 month old that cries when you look at him- and cries when you don’t-
is like trying to brush your teeth while eating oreos. It just doesn’t work…. Then there are the other three kiddos… to whom
I suggested entertaining themselves with Playdoh in a weak moment. Remember the Fuzzy Pumper? Uh yeah, Mimi thought my five year old needed
that for a birthday gift last year, so after said Playdoh session there were EIGHT
MILLION tiny balls of green “hair” all over the floor. Then my dear hubby had to lead his small
group of sixth grade boys (bless him) at church tonight, so I had dinner, bath,
homework, and bedtime solo. During the
babe’s bath, the three Playdoh people decided to pull out the eldest’s mini
sandbox- and then there was green sand added to the green Playdoh hair all over
the floor. OH. MY. GOODNESS. WE HAVE
SEVENTY GUESTS COMING TO OUR HOME IN TWO DAYS AND THERE IS A SEA OF GREEN ON MY
FRESHLY MOPPED FLOOR. There is not
enough coffee in the world to keep me up as late as I need to be tonight. The only reason I’m writing at this moment is
so I can sit and avoid the ever-growing pile of stuff on my checklist.
But alas, Friday is coming regardless of what I get done, so
I better get to work, and we’ll just trust the Lord’s grace to fill in the gaps
I miss… and maybe he’ll blind your eyes to the green on the floor. J
The real reason I sat down to type (before my mind went on a
tangent fueled by exhaustion) was I’ve received several questions about the
event, so here goes Christmas with Addie’s Good(s) FAQ’s. Get pumped. This is gonna blow your mind. Or
not. But it is useful information. So, read on.
1.
Where is the event???
If you’ve purchased a ticket by
emailing us at info@addiesgoods.com,
you should have received an invoice (via the email address through which you
contacted us). Once you paid the
invoice, you should have received another email with the ticket attached. THE ADDRESS IS ON THE TICKET. Because we are
hosting this at our home, we don’t want to publicize the address to the
world. Just for a frame of reference, we
live in Crestwood, two minutes from exit 14 on 71. If you still have questions about the
location, message us on Facebook or email.
2.
What time???
6:30-9:00 pm.
You do not have to be here right when it starts. Come and go as you please! We are just thrilled you are attending!
3.
Where should we park???
Feel free to park in the driveway or along
the street. We have an empty lot next
door (on the corner of our court), so parking in front of it and around the
corner should be great. RIDE TOGETHER AS
MUCH AS POSSIBLE! Carpooling for the win!
You know you want more time with your friends!
4.
What types of payment will you accept???
Credit card (all the biggies except American
Express) and cash
5.
Can I bring my kids?
We have asked that those in attendance be
over the age of 12 as much as possible. We love kids. We have four (remember the
Playdoh?) It’s just gonna be a bit crowded and much easier to shop without your
little people. We do understand that
there will need to be exceptions to this in a few cases. Just use your best judgement.
6.
Can my hubby/boyfriend come?
Sure! You’ll just have to share your
snacks. J
This is a great chance to give hints of what you’d like for Christmas! We will have multiple people to help put items
aside if your hubby can be sneaky enough to tell us what he’d like to buy
you. He can even pay for it on a later
date!
7.
Do I need to eat before I come?
We are so excited to be supporting Scarlet’s
Bakery again! They will be providing the
sweet treats and coffee, and there will be some salty goodies to satisfy your
taste buds, as well. So, if you’re super
hungry, then yeah, eat before, BUT there will be some awesome yumminess ready
for snacking.
8. Are there any more tickets available?
Shoot us an email. info@addiesgoods.com. At the time of publishing this blog, there are five-ish tickets left.
Alright. I think that’s
it. We are seriously looking forward to spending the evening with you! Don’t hesitate to contact us with
other questions! Just know it might take a bit for us to get back to you. Now it’s
time for me to get to work. Or watch This Is Us…
